I’ve wanted to try this brand for so long, I jumped at the chance when I realized they were back. The packaging is BEAUTIFUL. It isn’t cheap or flimsy.
And the candy is delicious! Now, kohakutou is very much “you either like it or you don’t”. It isn’t for everyone. But I really enjoy it! And what I especially like about Misaky Tokyo is how natural the flavors are.
Strawberry Sakura and yuzu had a unique taste which made it nice when paired with tea the matcha crystal had no taste and only taste like crystal jelly which I wasn't a fan of
I gave these three stars because I want to ensure I do not focus just on my expectations but, the craftsmanship that went into making these crystal candies.
I felt the flavor in these crystals was exceptional, nothing tasted artificial to me, as other brands I have tried. My dissatisfaction lies in the texture. Only one had that sought out crunch. The rest were either bendable and sticky because it wasn't dehydrated long enough, or it had the texture of when hard candy gets old and becomes discolored and a gets soft film on it.
I do not know if they were in a time crunch (no pun intened) to get these out. What I do know is I have waited over a year to try this crystal candy and I did not receive the all around experience I had hoped for.

I’ve been waiting to try this for years but was bummed i wasn’t able to. When the site came back on, I immediately ordered it. I got the 3 pack so I could try it out. I tried silk gyms and it’s just too much going on to sugary. But with this, it’s not too sweet. I was able to eat it without feeling like my teeth we’re gonna fall out. I can’t wait to order more.
